The Orchard Series invites guests beyond the table and into the heart of the Werribee Park Heritage Orchard for an experience like no other.
Across selected dates, guests are welcomed into the Heritage Orchard to enjoy a guided walk, where they’ll learn about its 19th-century origins, the rare heritage fruit varieties it protects, and the ongoing care required to keep this living landscape thriving.
Led by the Heritage Orchard team, the experience includes a rare opportunity to see and experience the techniques used to preserve these historic trees for future generation.
From there, the experience becomes yours to shape….
Secure your volunteer place with the Heritage Orchard, then book your preferred dining experience — an Orchard to Table lunch or a Graft & Graze picnic.

At the heart of the Orchard Series is Joseph’s Restaurant, where the culinary team draw inspiration directly from the orchard and its surrounds.
Menus celebrate seasonal produce, heritage fruit and regional flavours, thoughtfully prepared to reflect the landscape that shapes them. Enjoyed as a long lunch, it’s a dining experience grounded in authenticity, where heritage meets contemporary hospitality.
For those who would like to linger a little longer, Graft & Graze offers the chance to settle beneath the orchard canopy and enjoy a slow, relaxed afternoon outdoors.
Guests are invited to wander the orchard paths before settling in to enjoy a thoughtfully prepared picnic featuring seasonal fare, local produce and orchard-inspired touches.
It’s an experience designed for unhurried afternoons, conversation, and quiet moments of connection.
The Werribee Park Heritage Orchard is sustained entirely by a dedicated group of volunteers who care for, protect and expand this important piece of Victoria’s horticultural history.
Each Friday morning, volunteers gather for hands-on sessions that are welcoming, educational and deeply rewarding.
Fridays | 9.30am - 12.30pm
Under the guidance of the Heritage Orchard team, volunteers learn and participate in:
・Grafting heritage fruit varieties
・Tree care, pruning and orchard maintenance
・Nursery work and conservation techniques
・Planting, seasonal fruit picking and tasting
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a curious beginner, these sessions offer a meaningful way to connect with the land and contribute to its future.
